High-bond acrylic tape is designed to spread the load across the entire surface of the sign, which can often be more secure than using a few screws. It is commonly used in the automotive and construction industries as a permanent mechanical fastener replacement. Can I use this tape outdoors? Absolutely. Acrylic tape is highly resistant to UV light, rain, and varying temperatures. It is the industry standard for mounting outdoor house signs, shop fascias, and vehicle graphics. How do I prepare the surface for the best bond? For the strongest hold, both surfaces must be completely clean, dry, and free of grease. We recommend wiping the areas with an alcohol-based cleaner (IPA) before applying the tape. Once applied, firm pressure should be used to activate the adhesive.
