What is Kavalan Spiderweb and why is it eco-friendly? Kavalan Spiderweb is a revolutionary mesh banner material that is 100% PVC-free. Unlike traditional mesh made from polyester coated in polyvinyl chloride, Kavalan uses a water-based coating. This makes it significantly lighter and ensures that no harmful dioxins are released during disposal. It is designed to be a direct, sustainable replacement for standard PVC mesh without compromising on strength. How does the wind-load performance compare to standard mesh? Spiderweb mesh is specifically engineered for high-wind environments like scaffolding, bridges, and large-scale building wraps. Its unique "spiderweb" weave allows for excellent air permeability, reducing the wind load on the structure. Despite being PVC-free, it maintains the same high tensile strength and tear resistance as its plastic-heavy counterparts. Can Kavalan Spiderweb be recycled or incinerated safely? Yes. Traditional PVC banners often end up in landfills because they are difficult to recycle and release toxic fumes if burned. Kavalan Spiderweb is designed for the "circular economy." It can be safely incinerated in "waste-to-energy" plants without producing harmful gases, and because it is PVC-free, it is much easier to process in plastic recycling streams.
